Homeopathic remedies can help oral candidiasis. This post will give information on the most commonly used homoeopathic remedies for “thrush”.

Oral candidiasis is a fungal infection of the mouth often called ‘thrush’. Although candida is present in 50% of the normal flora of healthy mouths, it causes infection (candidiasis) when increased numbers of yeast cells invade the mucosa.

I advise a no sugar diet and some self-help home remedies like coconut oil pulling and drinking warm water with squeezed fresh lemon juice. Depending on how long the problem has been going on, there may be a need for deeper and balancing treatment involving all your symptoms, for which you need to work with a homeopath. Candida diet is recommended if the problem is chronic.

A few remedies can be prescribed for oral thrush-  Arum Thriphyllum, Kalium Chloricum, Borax, Candida albicans, Lac Caninum, Mercurius Solubilis, Mercurius Cyanatus, Muraticum Acidum, Natrum muriaticum, Nitricum ac., Sanguinaria, Sulphuric acid, Sulphur, Syphilinum, Thuja.

The most often used remedies for oral thrush are Borax, Mercurius Solublis, Nitricum Acidum, and Candida Albicans.

Borax is a well-indicated medicine for thrush with white fungus growth, especially in children. It is the most prescribed homeopathic remedy for thrush with white lesions or patches of fungus, especially in children. The patient complains of a hot mouth with severe tenderness. The thrush easily bleeds upon touching or when eating, and there is a bitter taste in the mouth.

Mercurius Solublis is an effective treatment for thrush with a moist mouth and increased saliva. The tongue is thick and heavy, with a moist yellow coating and spongy gums. Offensive odour from the mouth and soreness of the gums are treated well with Mercurius Solubles. The saliva may have a metallic taste. They have a great thirst with a moist mouth.

Nitric Acidum is indicated for thrush with severe pain. The patient has a clean, red and wet tongue, with patches in the middle. Thrush is present with sharp, splinter-like pains and offensive, putrid breath. There can be increased salivation.

Candida Albicans is an excellent treatment for thrush with marked redness. The patient complains of white lesions or patches in the mouth, generally on the inner cheeks and tongue.  Sore mucous membranes and burning pains are indications of this remedy.

Working with homeopath will give you the possibility to rebalance your gut and strengthen your vitality which is needed when the problem has been ongoing for more than a month and is not responding to conventional treatment.
